A bit about me
I am passionate about giving students the knowledge and skills to get the most out of their voices. I have a love for nurturing excitement about music and singing, developing vocal health and technique, and striving to teach students about the intricacies of musicality, equipping them to be outstanding singers and performers.

My Goal
My goal in teaching singing is to train my students to sing in an efficient and healthy way. This includes eliminating unnecessary tension.
I also ensure that my students are musically developed through exposing them to different kinds of high-quality music and teaching them musicianship skills. Within this model, I strive to help students reach their personal singing goals.

My Role

My role is to hear and see you sing, identify muscular inefficiencies that you are employing, and then give you achievable strategies to gain control over those inefficiencies to promote vocal health and help singing feel effortless.
While like all teachers I will focus on the aesthetics of your voice, I will also give instruction on music theory, aural, improvisation and habit building.
One common problem is that a student may not have the appropriate breath support coordination, resulting in more effort being employed in the larynx. By freeing a student from feeling tight, they will be able to sing a wide variety of styles skilfully and safely.
